About Us

Polaroid Photographers Briana Morrison and Kim Smith-Miller

We are Bria and Kim, and we really like instant gratification.

We grew up in towns an hour apart, but didn't discover each other until recently, thanks to the power of the internet. In July of 2012 we met in person, and again in February 2013 when Bria visited Portland, OR for the first time. It didn't take long before we decided it was time to collaborate on a project.

While Bria has been creating instant art for years, Kim is relatively new to the game. We both love shooting film, eating food, and petting cats.

About The Project

Join us every Sunday when two instants, captured instantly, are posted. The result will be a diptych of two lives that are curiously similar, yet markedly different. We thought it was appropriate for our first post to be a reflection of that sentiment.

The purpose of this project is to encourage ourselves (and each other) to keep exploring Polaroid photography, so only new work will be considered for each week's diptych. We will be shooting with the Spectra, SX70 and Land Camera models using either Impossible Project, expired Polaroid or Fuji peel-apart film.
